Montreal, you have changed!
My parents have finally fallen in love with Montreal! Although they are both Quebecers and have visited Montreal almost every year since their childhood, neither had ever had a real crush on the city. Except this time!
The slogan of Tourisme Montreal “I changed, come back to see me” did its work and it is true that Montreal has changed! There are a multitude of really interesting activities, many of them new, free, very artistic events, 2020-style, and the people are very friendly and accommodating, but this is normal when travelling with a child.
We also love the city for its many restaurants. If you are a culinary tourist like me and my parents, you will enjoy this city which offers so many opportunities to snack and taste the famous poutine, a typical Quebec snack, or try Montreal’s smoked meat, or even stop in an upscale restaurant with a world-renowned chef. There is also an interesting cultural diversity which is illustrated by the choice of menus offered in the metropole.
Finally, if you are single or a couple travelling without children, Montreal is known for its lively nightlife. From bars (that close at 3 a.m.) to musical festivals and “happenings” all night long, there is something for everyone.

Message From My Parents
We loved our stay in Montreal. We had often visited the city from June to August, the hottest time of the year. It is very humid but also very busy. This time we visited the island in December and loved it even though it was very cold. The season also boasts many activities, minus the queue! We may also look less like tourists when visiting out of the tourist season!
